After completing an installation of Office 2007 Enterprise at the office I went into Outlook Express to check email. I responded to an email and spell checked it. Every word was wrong, even though they were spelled correctly. This made me go looking.
I found that OE was set to use the French spell checker. Doing some investigation found a KB article about the issue. It suggests that one find a third party utility to replace spell checking capabilities in Outlook Express. Here is a piece of freeware to accomplish it.
